Becoming Gotham’s favorite son…

When Bruce Wayne decided that he would protect Gotham city against crime, he needed an outfit that would enable him to move freely and provide versatility and cover as he patrolled the streets. Inspired by a bat, he had a batsuit tailored to resemble the winged creature’s silhouette. Wayne thought that the frightening batman costume would strike fear into the superstitious and cowardly criminals preying on the city’s innocent citizens.

The original batman costume was little more than an acrobat’s outfit with a few minor modifications. It consisted of gray tights covered with black trunks, short gloves, boots and a scalloped cloak that was affixed to his arms. Over time, the cloak became an enveloping, scalloped-edged cape. The gloves grew in length and gained three fins.

A belt was also added to the original batman costume with pockets and pouches for his crime-fighting gear. The bat-ears of the cowl grew in length, improving on the menacing image he projected from the shadows, alleyways and rooftops.

Your child can become the superhero himself in a child batman costume based on the original design. This batsuit will help your little one become one of the world’s most recognized superheros around.

Batman Batarangs and Safety LightThe child Batman costume has a molded foam chest to give him superhero muscles. The polyester jumpsuit ties at the back of the neck and has attached boot tops. A character mask and cape with bright blue lining are included. The poly-foam hand gauntlets and belt complete this great outfit. This costume goes great with Batgirl or Robin.

The image of your Caped Crusader’s cloaked form will encourage plenty of pretend play. Don’t worry though. The costume is well made and will last through heavy wear and super hero play. But remember, like Batman, he’ll need some gear to conquer his foes.

Pair the batsuit with a batman grappling hook, batarags and safety light. Imagine the fun…

Ace of Knaves, the Clown of Crime, Harlequin of Hats, the Joker of Crime, Madman of Mirth, and the Prince of Pranksters….It’s the Dark Knight Joker!

What better way to crash a Halloween party than to wear the mask and the clothes of Gotham City’s notorious Joker? To begin with, there are three good reasons why you should consider getting your child a Dark Knight Joker Costume over other more common costumes like those of Batman, Superman or Captain America.

First of all, this is the kind of costume where you or your child gets a better chance of being unique. Since everyone else wants to be the hero, it is just so predictable that someone is going to the party wearing Batman’s suit, but not everyone would consider being clad in Joker’s costume, right? So you see, your child will certainly stand out in this costume.

Next, it is easy to don a Dark Knight Joker Costume – there isn’t a lot of fuss because there are no capes or tights to deal with. A purple coat that comes with a dress shirt, vest, tie and the all-too popular purple pin striped pants is all you need and you’re good to go. Although a mask is included, even without it, your child is really going to look cool, sassy and prim in this costume. For the real creative types, the Joker makeup kit is available for a really unique look.

Finally, it is much easier to have fun if you get this costume for your child. He could suggest some of his other friends to come to the party as his clowns. And, of course, someone should come as Batman too.  You could even get an adult Joker costume so you and your child can drum up double trouble as the Big Joker and Little Joker at the party, especially if you aren’t fond of the tights that come with super hero costumes.

The Joker outfit is available in child sizes small, medium and large. While fairly complete out of the box, you may want to add a pair of Joker gloves. Then sit back and watch your child turn into comic book’s most violent sociopath with a sick sense of humor in this Deluxe Kids Joker Costume.

Wonder why the Joker has bizarre features – chalk white face, red lips, green hair? Well, the Joker once had normal features. He had been a masked criminal known as the Red Hood who escaped a botched robbery at the Monarch Playing Card Company by diving into a catch basin for the plant’s chemical wastes and following the flow out to the river. When he removed his mask, he discovered the hideous disfigurement that, because he resembled the Joker of a playing card deck, gave him a new criminal identity.

About a year after Batman’s debut, Robin joined the crime fighter. From then on, the two patrolled the streets of Gotham City as a team and were known as the Dynamic Duo. Wherever there was Batman (The Caped Crusader), there was also Robin (The Boy Wonder). So if you plan on dressing your child up as Batman for Halloween, make sure to pair him up with a suitable partner (like a younger brother or friend) in a Robin costume.

Robin aka Dick Grayson was a kid who worked with his parents in a flying trapeze act known as The Flying Graysons. It’s no surprise that this kids Robin costume is designed with acrobatics in mind. This deluxe costume provides an instant transformation to Robin. The all-polyester jumpsuit has a foam chest liner to create a muscular appearance. Although boots are not included, boot tops are attached to the jumpsuit. The black and yellow polyester cape closes with a button at the back of the neck. A yellow foam belt and black foam eye mask complete the outfit.

Robin first met Batman on the fateful night when he witnessed his parents fall to their death when their ropes snapped during a high-wire act under the big top.  Batman revealed to the Young Dick Grayson that the accident was the result of foul play. Crime Lord Anthony “Boss” Zucco caused the accident because the circus manager refused to pay protection money.

Shazam (Black) Child BootsBatman, suspicious of the hold Zucco might have over the police, appeared to Grayson like a dark angel and warned him against going to the authorities. And, Batman couldn’t say no when the boy insisted that Batman help him avenge his parent’s death. Thus, the Dynamic Duo was born.

Batman and Robin successfully battled against their first villain when they broke Zucco’s hold on the city. In response, the governor promised to use his power to see that Gotham City politics stayed clean. Bruce Wayne then adopted Grayson as his ward.

The kids Robin costume is ideal for kids age 2-4. It’s a durable all occasion outfit that will wear well at birthday parties, social gatherings, and most importantly, during Halloween for Trick or Treating.
